Ending CA while on UC

I have recently been advised by UC that by reporting my child is no longer on education during an assessment period means I will not get the two weeks for them even though they didn't leave school until half way through the assessment period. Can anyone tell me if this rule is the same when reporting you are no longer receiving Carer’s Allowance? If it ends halfway through the assessment period, will I still have deductions from UC for what I would have got from CA for the entire period or would it just for the couple of weeks I received CA?

UC don't do partial payments or deductions, it's your circumstances on the last day of your Assessment Period that shape your payment statement.
So just like you won't be eligible for any child element, you shouldn't have a deduction for CA.
If your Carers Allowance is paid 4 weeks in arrears, this might impact the date UC treat it as having ended.

So if my claim for CA ended on the 17th if July and thee last day of my assessment period is the 13th of August, and I was paid weekly by CA, then there shoulde be no deductions?

That is my understanding yes, although I am not a trained benefits advisor.
