Hi I recieved my first Pip review forms. I was not due till next year March. Anyways I am trying to fill it in with as much details I can. Along with my Psoriatic Arthritis I have been diagnosed with Finromyalgia as well. I am having anxiety about all this all over again. Could anyone please share how long this procedure will take. Will there be a phone review after sending these forms or do I have to go for face to face appointment.
thank you so much for this community.

Its always helpful whenever I feel lost .

    Hello @535mum.

PIP reviews can feel overwhelming and you are not alone in how you are feeling.

There are still long delays with PIP reviews so you may be waiting a while even once you send your form back. We've heard from members waiting between 9 months and some up to 2 years. That said, experiences do vary, and a few people report hearing back within a matter of weeks.

As long as you return the review form by your deadline, your PIP payments should continue uninterrupted until the decision is made.

The DWP will review your form and any supporting evidence. In most cases this leads to a telephone, video, or face-to-face assessment, although a paper-based review is sometimes possible, but I would advise most people to prepare for an assessment as paper-based decisions are quite rare.

Did you have a face-to-face assessment when you made your original claim?

I can only talk about the timescales of my own review. I have progressive/degenerative condition.

Telephone appointment with assessment centre a couple of days after the deadline to return the review form (assessment centre advised they only had my initial claim form and evidence, not the review form and up to date evidence).

1 week after assessment centre DWP decision made and sent (no longer entitled to PIP).

MR returned around the month deadline.

MR decision took around 5 weeks.

Appeal form submitted 1 month after receipt of MR decision.

Hearing will be around 16 months after appeal was submitted.

So in my case DWP processed things fairly quickly their end.
