Review complete

I’ve been waiting for my review to happen for over a year
Had a 12 month extension
Recieved a text yesterday with a phone assessment for 2 weeks today
Then random phone call from DWP
The same day saying can I have 5 mins to ask few questions as you have been waiting over a year and wanting to try wrap this up and then cancel your phone assessment
8 mins on phone
Ended call with will do report now and cancel you phone appointment our end
Then told me to take care of myself
Does this sound normal or not real
Thank you

I've not heard of that happening but I had a paper review some months ago. This morning I received a text saying the review is complete and I'd receive a decision in 2 weeks. I wish they'd not sent that text as I'm now going to be fretting till the letter comes.I'd have preferred it if a letter had just turned up. I did ask for a home visit( housebound due to chronic mobility problems) but looks like I'm not getting one. I just wanted them to see now I manage on a day to day basis. Easier than trying to explain on paper.

Yes, after booking a full assessment, they did what's known as a paper based assessment.
Sometimes this means no further input from the claimant, sometimes a random call with just a few questions as you had.
Since they cancelled the full assessment they were satisfied with the paper based assessment.

Thank you for your reply
I was worried it wasn’t real genuine
She was a lovely lady almost too nice
And it felt like she was putting the right answers too me to get the best outcome
For me if that makes sense
I had the usual trick question
“No work or pets to care for”
I’ve had a text saying they’ve recieved accessors report
And to expect to wait up too 6 weeks for decision
Do I hear anything before report arrives ?
As I remember when I made my first ever claim 5 years ago I had. A text stating we can pay you pip
Will this happen this time please ??
Thanks

You can ring PIP and ask for a copy of the report to be sent to you.
The Decision Maker usually goes with the report recommendation, but not always.

Thanks again
Yes I did to be told it’s not available so maybe too early
That’s why I wondered if I would get same text as previous ?
“ we can pay you pip “
At least then I no claim hasn’t been refused
As usual with pip it’s waiting again I guess
So worrying
Thank you

I would be so happy with a paper based review and I have requested it as a reasonable adjustment but I'm still waiting to hear from them.

Thank you
Yes I am so very happy and can’t quite believe it been done this way after such a very long wait
Over a year !
Think it’s more shock
And the worry at the end it’s been rushed and points overlooked as was unprepared and put on the spot
Wishing you luck too

No need to worry that's a standard text.

@kimi87
Thanks
I’ve just rang helpline to see what next months payment is and it’s saying loads more than normal amount per month
More confused than ever

The automated line often gives out incorrect information.

thanks
Payment date was correctBut seemingly automated line not fit for purpose
And seems wrong how it’s giving out false information and false hope to vunerable people
17 months I’ve waited
Should send result as renew or reject in the text then
Report and any figures of award in letter
Cruel process

You won't find me disagreeing with anything you've said.
Perhaps you could feedback your thoughts and experience to your local MP?
