PIP review
Hello everyone I’m new to this group. I was awarded PIP in May2022 for 4 years. Have just received my review paperwork. Im very anxious over it. My circumstances have changed as I’ve developed a heart condition on top of my original condition. I’ve sent a shed load of evidence with the renewal, and today received a text to say they have received it. My anxiety is very bad right now and I know it’s just a waiting game. I can’t bear the thought of another assessment. I had a telephone assessment last time

I requested a paper based assessment when I sent my form in.
Whether they agree is a different matter.

Try and stay calm. You have done right sending in all the evidence and hopefully you have sent in enough that a Paper based Assessment is progressed and you will not be contacted about a phone Assessment.

Hi @Freestork. I'm sorry you're feeling so anxious about this. It's a completely understandable feeling as it's very scary not knowing what decision they're going to make. You've done the right thing by sending in lots of evidence and hopefully this will be enough so you won't need as assessment. If you do need an assessment you can request it be in person, over the phone, or a video call and you can have someone with you.

thanks Rachel, I wasn’t aware you can request assessment in a way that’s best for me, I appreciate your help. Am hoping it won’t come to that though x

You're very welcome. Here's where I got the information from in case you want to have a look yourself 😊 I really hope you don't have to have an assessment, I have my fingers crossed for you.
