What was your previous ESA payment amount?

(i'm checking whether no Transitional Protection is correct)

From the UC award amount I'm guessing you are receiving a deduction for New Style ESA payment?

In which case that part is correct.

    See these threads for information.

Old ESA was 323 every 2 weeks the new one is 280 every 2 weeks

Transitional Protection is added if your total UC award (before deductions) is lower than legacy benefits.

In that case your statement is correct.

Transitional Protection was not due ✅

The amount of UC paid is correct ✅

You are now receiving New Style ESA topped up by Universal Credit.

Total income per month £823.41, so you are better off after migration.

If you had ended up on UC only, the same amount £823.41 would have been paid.

Your previous ESA award as a monthly amount was approximately £700.

New style esa and Universal Credit are both income replacement benefits.

Under the welfare system a person is entitled to one income replacement benefit.

So your New Style ESA is deducted in full from your UC award.

As advised the money is exactly the same as if you didn't get New Style ESA.

When someone on CB & IR ESA migrates to UC, the CB converts automatically into New Style ESA and the IR into UC.

No one has a new assessment as a direct result of migration.

In future you will be notified via UC of a new assessment, the form will be labelled UC50 (identical to the ESA50), and the assessment outcome will apply to both benefits.

Was the IR ESA just a top up on top of the CB ESA

Yes that's correct, most of the ESA was CB, the Enhanced Disability Premium would have been IR ESA.
