3 hour 10 minutes PIP phone assessment

It was so much worse than I thought it was going to be. I was waiting for the familiar questions and they started after 2 hours. I did cry a few times just from frustration of knowing how much longer it was going to take. The lady was pleasant enough but I don't trust the DWP to award fairly. I'll find out in 6-8 weeks!

Oh yeah and the assessment started 40 minutes late. I'm going to take a week to recover from that.

Wow - that's incredibly long. I hope you receive a positive result and soon. Have a restful evening and look after yourself. You got through it 😊

It did feel like that. I'm in total panic mode now because by the end I was just so worn down I can't actually remember what I said. My OH tried to stop it but I just wanted it to end. I was worn out just after the 40 minutes of waiting for it to start.

I think I might write to my MP (Mel Stride) and complain that I kept saying that I was tired after 2 hours and she kept saying only 15 more minutes, not long to go now etc.

You could write and complain to the assessment company about the nature of the assessment.

My review letter arrived, I have been awarded standard on both care and mobility until 2031. 8 points for care spread over 2 points in 4 areas and 10 for mobility. I think the DWP are hoping that I won't have the energy to pursue this. I believe that my medical evidence does prove that I should be awarded more so I will try an MR but don't hold out much hope of any change. At this point I'm just massively relieved that we won't be totally skint over Christmas. I haven't done an MRI before.

Definitely complain about the length of the assessment - but wait for the results first

You are entitled to a break every hour - although the PIP handbook, surprisingly doesn't mention breaks
