Waiting 11 months for my pip appeal,

Title says it all really. Not sure what do to. Contacted the tribunal service through webchat who just told me to keep waiting. I called them over the phone and just got an automated response. I can easily see this taking more than year, is there anyone I can contact? Or do I just tough it out and keep waiting?

I get there are long wait times but if the DWP handled applications fairly there wouldnt be this long appeals process.

My assessor wrote that they didnt feel I had any walking problems, despite years of hospital letters saying otherwise (I was born with CMT). They never met me or elaborated on why they thought that in there MRN. I have tremors when I use my hands, but not at rest, and DWP are arguing that since I only have the tremors when using my hands, and not at rest, then I dont qualify. Its pure madness.

It's really difficult @sas1980, but unfortunately there isn't much you can do to speed up the appeal. I'm sorry you're having to wait so long, it's a frustrating process sometimes especially when you feel they've misrepresented your conditions so badly.

Fingers crossed you're not waiting too much longer. I hope it goes well when it finally comes around!

Unfortunately you will just have to wait but I agree with your comment that there would be a shorter wait for appeals if the right decisions were made at the start of the claim.

It is a nuisance, but I waited over a year for a PIP Tribunal Appeal 5 years ago, so I know how you are feeling and nothing has changed! At the time of my a Appeal over 78% of PIP claimants won their Appeals and got their award back showing that the claimant should not have lost their award in the first place! Definitely bad decision making on the DWP's part! I can still remember the DWP Decision Maker's name in my case as I was that disgusted at the time.

You should not have to much longer to wait hopefully.
