Help plz re maximus

hi plz help . I had an appointment over phone with Maximus a while back but I emailed them asking if would do my claim for pip via paper based review due to my utter inability to communicate on phone . My ptsd that bad and alcohol intake /addiction etc more to it but due to abuse and trauma I struggle so much talking . Anyway on October 9th a lady emailed me saying she had requested paper based , and last time I emailed they said still in queue. Today however they shut down on me when I emailed and are trying to make me ring help desk so I explained I can’t and this whole reason i requested paper based in first place . I got a blunt email just now saying “ sorry we are unable to assist any further on this email call help desk “ 😩😩. I feel they trying to trap me to see if I ring to try make me loose points or something . I’m a big over thinker and also my anxiety can’t deal . Why will they communicate one minute and now be all funny about it . I applied in August initially for pip and seriously wish I hadn’t bothered . The spiralling with anxiety and abuse I’m probs inflicting on myself is just awful as I have to drink and drink even more than I was with just dealing with life as it is . My jobcentre woman advisor told me to apply as she felt I needed it and I said to her at the time I dunno if can cope with it but I promised her I’d apply as she knows I’m struggling. I just feel like giving in it’s just traumatic when I have already mental health stuff I’m dealing with . Any advice welcome thank you for reading . X

Looks like you have your paper based assessment. Can you get a family member or friend to call the help desk? Try and stay calm, the PIP process is long and stressful.

Hi @Trevor_PIP whst makes you think I may have the paper based assessment? Plz ? And not really no . For all my son does a lot for me he won’t deal with this kind of thing . I replied an email back explaining I found that upsetting that just wouldn’t say I probs came across quite rude and maybe aggy as I get like that when feel really stressed and unable to cope 😩. Probs score me zero for being aggy oh dear . I don’t deal with people at all never mind this . Xx

You stated the lady has requested a paper based assessment.

Hi @Trevor_PIP I asked for one and the lady at maximus said she would send a request for that . This was oct the 9th . And then an email beginning November said I’m still in queue to get looked at or something , then today wouldn’t tell me any more said I had to call help desk . X

It sounds as if there is a backlog and they have not got to your claim yet. Applications for PIP are at a high so waiting times will be longer.

thank you for replying @Trevor_PIP soooo stressful . I’m not holding out much hope but never know .
