Tomcat Trike

Morning All.

I'm looking for suggestions as to What to do with my Son's Tomcat Trike?

We got it for him 5-6 years ago and its barely been used. currently its sat in Storage waiting.

We've hardly been able to use it primarily because of the impracticalities of getting him on it as he needs a hoist to transfer and of course the only practical hoist is in the Living room and there's no way to get him on it and out the door without knocking down the wall/door/ removing the furniture or taking him off it.. see where I'm going with this? :)

I'm trying to sell it, but even at a 3rd of the price we paid for it its too specialised for many.

Various Charities that could use it, cant accept private donations (Liability etc).

And it seems a waste to take it to the Recycling Shop/Centre and while I might have to accept this as inevitable it would be ideal if someone else would benefit from it.

do you have a second hand bike shop in your area? They may buy it off you and have the wherewithal to ensure brakes etc are working and if not fix them. If they can’t buy it off of you as it’s too specialised they may know of other shops/charities that will. It’s such a shame to see good stuff go to waste.

Thanks, Its already on Ebay.. there are people 'watching' but no bites so far. Facebook Market I've had a few nibbles but unless I'm giving it away with a box of chocolates and hand deliver on a golden chariot, very few are interested.

I spent years trying to get my son a suitable trike. But when I found a second hand one another resident at his special school destroyed it:( He never succeeded in riding it anyway. He has no awareness of his feet so it just didn't work:(

Someone out there would be delighted to have it.
