An author’s latest novel explores the ambitions and challenges of a young Cumbrian farmer with cerebral palsy.
Angela Locke’s Finding Myrddin tells the story of 15-year-old Dan, who dreams of breeding a champion Herdwick tup and pursuing a career in quantum physics.
Ms Locke said: "The novel’s themes of disability, rural isolation, ambition, inheritance, masculinity, and first love are set against the landscape of the lakes and wild fells of northern Cumbria, which is a character in itself.
