Hello @Dunny1095 and welcome to the community.

We couldn't say for certain but it's often thought of as a good sign. How long ago did you submit your MR?

They are normal questions and aren’t dependent on an award being made, you should hear back next week. Good luck.

Hi and a very warm welcome to the community.

Did you do a mandatory reconsideration?

Did you ask the caller why they requested that information when they rang you or did they not explain why they were requesting it?

You could ring the proof of benefits helpline on Tuesday to find out if you have been made an award.

Hi @Dunny1095 - & welcome to the forum. It's as both Adrian & bg844 have said. These are standard questions that are often asked if an award of PIP is to be made, but this isn't guaranteed as we've had some members in the past been asked these same questions, but it didn't result in an award.

They do often seem to now call asking questions before making a decision with a MR. Hoping you hear about your decision soon.

Yes it wasn't guaranteed as i phoned today and got told it's been refused, just don't understand what the need in the Saturday call was all about if it was going to be refused why ask if I can manage a lump sum ect

HI, not sure why they couldn't have said they hadn't made a decision yet but needed to ask standard questions first when they firstrang you.. If I were called and asked those questions ( and not seen this post) I would have thought I had been awarded and getting big back pay! Will you appeal at tribunal? All so stressful

Exactly strange isn't it i had a call to go through my mr and left it at that then to get that random call weeks later after reading that it basically means you've been awarded to then get refused l,don't know what to do dont see any point tbh
