Protecting women and girls...
Interesting read:
(Trigger warning: Domestic abuse)
"During their relationship, Lisa’s ex-partner was controlling. He kept her at home where he was emotionally and physically abusive towards her, including once attacking her with a machete.
These days, he runs protests outside houses of multiple occupancy that he claims are housing asylum seekers. He coordinates groups of men to patrol the streets of his town, claiming to protect women but often using these patrols to profile and target men of colour.
“There’s nothing good about that man. He’s a bully in every way,” she says.
Lisa is one of seven women who have told the Guardian they are survivors of domestic abuse carried out by key figures in the anti-immigration street patrol movement. All have chosen to come forward to make the public aware of the patterns of violence behind this new form of activism."

Thank you for sharing this @Anhedonia2. My friends and I have had similar conversations as we have seen this pattern too…it is very frightening!

The stupid decisions of previous governments in migration policy over many decades, lobbied by the super-rich, always harm poor people in one way or another.

These far right morons are up here too, as we have the so-called "Scots Active" on the streets of Glasgow now.
They got a little over excited at a recent demo, and started making dubious salutes. 🙄

Quite alot of them seem 'good with their hands'. How beating their partner like a gong advances their agenda, goodness knows.☹️

Sorry, I don't understand your comment, the article is pointing out that many of those leading the campaigns against migrants under the guise of 'protecting women and girls' are guilty themselves of causing significant harm to women and girls.

That doesn't surprise me! They always end up telling on themselves
