Any experience with trihexyphenidyl?

Hello, we're trying out trihexyphenidyl for our daughter who has quadriplegic dystonic cerebral palsy and I was wondering if anyone had any experiences with this medication, in particular the side effects (positive and negative) that came with using it? Thank you very much, in advance!

Hi @Anglogirl
Welcome to the community! I hope you will find others here who have some experience or information to share.
How old is your daughter? How long has she been on the medication?

Hi there
Have you checked out the Dystonia Society website:
http://http//www.dystonia.org.uk/index.php/forum/9-treatments/1802-trihexyphenidyl?start=6
Another useful place to look is a Facebook page dedicated to people who have cp and parents and carers of children with cp. It may be worth joining and posting this question on there as well.
https://www.facebook.com/groups/cerebralpalsyuk/
At Scope we have local Information and Advice Workers who have a specialist knowledge in cp and these can be contacted via the Scope helpline if this would be helpful.
Hope this helps

Hi this was on of the many medications I tried. The dosage was increased gradually. I received no benefit even on a high dosage and began to feel unwell so neurologist stopped it and I moved on to legacies.
