Hello all I recently quit my teaching job of 15 years. I now am watching a 15 month old little girl who has CP. I am a long time family friend of the mother and grandmother. It's been one week Im learning about her and suggestions mom has given me. Child cries througout the 5 hours I watch her 3 times a week.  She will calm when she wants to nap. I hope I am not offending anyone by joining here. I just wanted to join the journey with the family I will not give up on watching her.

    Hi auntychris,
what an amazing friend you are! And don’t worry that you are offending because personally I would prefer to be asked questions if someone doesn’t know about my daughter and I can’t speak for others but in my experience people appreciate the chance to explain about our children’s condition or someone’s own condition. Instead of someone making assumptions and getting it wrong. As you are wanting to provide the best care you can for this little girl it’s great that you are asking.
So any questions you have I will be happy to help in any way I can. If you have anything to ask that you feel is a bit sensitive to ask in an open thread I think you can dm on this site now. If not I will give you my fb details and you can email me there. I hope I can help x
