Hi All, my frineds son was 16 in the summer, she filled in the PIP form and sent it back in Nov 2020, she is till receiving DLA and CA herself, is this due to COVID as she was under the impression that DLA stopped at his birthday? thank you

HI and welcome,The DLA will continue until a decision's been made on the PIP and there's no timescales how long that decision will take. Most people are having telephone assessments so once an appointment becomes available they will send a letter with a date and time.1

Hello @Jo_boswell and welcome to our online community! I'm glad you found us and @poppy123456
was able to help.
I've slightly tweaked the title of your post to help other's who might have the same question, and have moved it to our PIP, DLA and AA discussion board.
Please let us know if you have any more questions
