Hi, I really want to work but have several chronic illnesses that remind and flare up so I can’t guarantee to be say somewhere really every Tuesday at 9am. Looking for flexible ideas. Quie educated, qualified and experienced at 53 but willing to do anything within my reach. Charity work or helping others would be great. Any ideas peeps?

You could try some charities for work maybe samaritans or something similar 

Or search for some home work opportunities

Hi @Padraig and welcome to our community.

One positive that's come out of the covid-19 lockdown is more opportunities to work flexibly from home and these could help meet the fluctuating needs you have in relation to your impairments.  

@Sandy_123 's suggestion of getting in touch with Scope's Support to Work service is a good one if you live in England and Wales.  Once registered, the team will get in touch and offer you 12 weeks of free support, focused around:

• identifying your strengths and transferable skills

• developing confidence and job skills like time management

• reviewing your CV to meet your employment goals

• how and where to look for jobs

• mock interviews

• how to talk to your employer about your impairment and reasonable adjustments
