I have seen so much info regarding this matter lol here we go LCWRA is the topic and i will try and keep it simple . Basically i first claimed uc with fit note ie sick note when i was moved from esa in may 2017 have handed in fit note all this time in 2018 had assesment face 2 face was deemed fit for work i appleled got no where carried on handing in fit notes have had another assesment this year march this time have just beeen informed via my journal that i have LCWRA now i have seen the 3 month period thing still cannot make sense . All i want to know is can anybody tell me if i get back dated from 2017 . I waited 10 weeks for decsion after assement . The decsion came the same date as i made my claim in 2017 so that is 48 months . Is that what back pay i can expect 48 months ? Less the 3 or whatever makes 45 month back pay ? Am i correct? Thanks in advance

What group were you in when you were on ESA? Initially that status should have transferred across to UC. The 2018 assessment would presumably have been a reassessment. You say you appealed the 2018 outcome - what was the result of that? I don't see how you deduce that your assessment is 48 months from when you transferred, according to your own narrative you have had two assessments in this time in 2018 and march 2021.0

The outcome of the appeal was fit for work please read original post properly as it states the outcome fit for work hence carried on handing in fit notes until another assesment this time over the phone bk in march this year .although i sent the questionire of in sept 2020

You will not get anything backdated to 2017.
The next question is what prompted the assessment in March 2021. Did you report a deterioration in your health, and if, so when?0 -
In sept 2020 i was sent out another questionire then had assesment march 2021

I think it likely that you will have to wait three months from the date of decision before the LCWRA element is payable - but I am not certain. I would not expect any backdating.0

No back dating? I think that you could be wrong . Why no back dating ?

Everywhere on the internet even on the government's own website it states that LCWRA will be back dated 3 months after medical evidence ie sick notes was provided. i just am not 100 per cent what that excactly means and neither are you by the looks off it . I Will just wait and see . Thsnks anyway

If you had reported a deterioration in your health the start of the three month period would be the date on which you notified the change. Based on what you have said that appears not to be the case. Indeed it isn’t clear why you were issued with a new UC50.
Possibly the three month period will start from September when the UC50 was issued, in which case there would some arrears due from about December 2020, but it really isn't clear.0 -
Ok thankyou yes that makes a bit of sense thankyou
