Hello @zkhan and a warm welcome to our community.

Firstly, I've tweaked the title of your thread and moved it to our PIP, DLA and AA category to make it more visible to others in the future :)

In terms of claiming PIP for keratoconus.  PIP is not awarded based on diagnosis, but rather a person's functional ability to complete the PIP activities.  If you take a look at this Citizens Advice table of PIP activities, descriptors and points, you will see what assessors are observing when making recommendations about a PIP award.  An individual needs to score 8+ to be awarded standard rate, or 12+ for the enhanced rate, of either component (daily living or mobility).

If you can identify PIP activities you struggle to complete reliably, that is safely, to an acceptable standard, repeatedly and in reasonable time, and these points reach 8 and above, then it would be worth applying.

We'd be happy to answer any more questions you have.  Plus, if you think external help from a welfare representative would be beneficial, you can visit the Advice Local website.

Take care and have a great Friday afternoon.
