I’d like to be able to find out if there are any grants available to help people out with heating costs/ living costs.
I’d love a multi fuel fire as my house is freezing, but I’m skint . Fed up
UC was suspended , now stopped, fed up being skint

I forgot to say I live in Scotland. There seems to be a lot of advice for England / Wales, which is great , but can’t find any grants for Scotland

Hey @Glaitness
Thank you for the post - could you please expand a little bit and tell us what type of grants you're looking for in Scotland? We can then hopefully offer more tailored advice/support for you.

I have all notifcations turned off and wouldn't want a member thinking i'm being rude by not replying. If i see a question that i know the answer to i will try my best to help.

Sorry, they won’t tell me why UC is suspended unless I call them . They won’t write/ text or email me . I asked them to write to my lawyer. They said they have, but no answer.Lawyer said no letter arrived .They mentioned an anonymous tip off so whatever it was they have based their decision on that . I asked for MR , failed that, so requested appeal

Glaitnessare you receiving PIP or any other benefit? If yes then there is a scheme in Scotland called "warmer homes Scotland" . The Scottish government will fund various measures like better insulation, newer boilers or renewables. They will come and assess the energy rating of your home and what measures are suitable. Is available for private homeowners and tennants too. I am getting a new boiler for heating and solar panels for electricity. Totally free installation. Will still have energy bills but should be lower. Check out link below. Good luck.

Don't know if this applies to Scotland, but LEAP has installed some boilers around here. I went to House of Lords to tell MPs about our problems - see report on aftercancers.com/bg
