    Hi @gg55

Thanks for your post. What a great question you have asked. Unfortunately, I don't have any personal experience with appealing PIP. Hopefully, someone else with personal experience with appealing PIP can respond to you soon as I know you are looking to hear people's lived experiences with this.

In the meantime though, I have heard of successful cases. Disability Rights UK published an article about the success rates of appealing PIP in 2019. If you are interested in exploring this further, you can find it at https://www.disabilityrightsuk.org/news/2019/september/pip-and-esa-appeal-success-rate-now-75-cent.

I hope this helps! If you have any other questions or want to discuss this further with us, please don't hesitate. We are here for you and we are listening  :)

Have you requested the Statement of Reasons and Record of Proceedings within 1 month of the date of decision? This would be the first step.

Hi @gg55 one place I would go to first of all is AdviceLocal, you can search for an adviser to help you decide if it's worth challenging the decision if you can.

Keep us updated with how you get on, and don't hesitate to ask if you're unsure of anything.

You will be outside the 1 month deadline to request the Statement of Reasons and Record of Proceedings.
