Good Morning, I wonder if anyone could shed some light on a situation. I had an MR for pip I got a call on Friday from DWP who said he was going to award my daughter wen through what she would be getting, how much back pay. I called Monday as I forgot to ask when back pay due but was told it still shows a decision has not been made🤷♀️ I assumed it was all updated automatically or am I wrong. Any advice would be great x

Hi,Once a decision's been made it takes 24 hours to show on all computers. I can only assume if they couldn't see the decision then it most likely wasn't made on Friday. Once the decision is made if successfully awarded it takes 3-5 working days for money to go into the bank.0

Oh I see, so just because he called me he may not have updated yet then? as he defentily said I was awarded. I was just a bit worried.0

Maybe the person you spoke to in the call centre gave you the wrong information? It has been known for them to do this. I can only guess i'm afraid. You will either need to ring them again to ask or wait for the decision letter. If awarded then money usually goes into your bank before the letter is received.

Hi @lou46
Welcome to Scope's forum. It is great to see you have joined us. I am afraid PIP is not an area of my expertise so I cannot comment. However, I wanted to respond to greet you and to say sorry to hear you are feeling stressed. Is there anything I can do to help? I just want you to know that we are here for you and care about you0 -
Hi @lou46
Welcome to the community, it's nice to see you join us and I hope you enjoy taking part here, this is a very supportive and welcoming place so I'm sure you will.
I can see why this situation has caused you some anxiety and confusion, hopefully the person you spoke to was correct and you receive a payment and award letter soon, please let us know how it goes.
I have moved your query over to our PIP category, which you might find it helpful to browse for related discussions, do feel free to explore the community and let us know if you have any questions.0
