Hi everyone,
I'm reaching out for any help and advice really. My son is 11 years old and has suffered with hearing loss since age 5, he has had 2 mastoidectomys and most of the inner ear bone has been removed. He is on the list for a bone anchored aid to be fitted but his hearing is worsening as time goes on. His left ear is also starting to decline and he finds it really difficuilt at times. We have been advised to apply for DLA but we have never done this before, the form asks what level of hearing loss he has and it doesnt really say on the audioligy report but I have asked for a letter from his consultant but that that takes time. Im wondering if anyone has experience with audioligy and can shed some light on the below results. Also, has anyone ever tried for DLA for a child? Im getting him help in school and trying to get as much help as I can elsewhere. Thanks in advance

Hello @kwill121
Wishing you a warm welcome to the community, it's nice to see you join us and I hope you are well.
I don't have any experience of hearing loss and therefore my knowledge is limited, but hopefully you will be able to receive replies from other members who will be able to share their experience.
I hope your son is receiving all the support he needs.
In accordance with our house rules we do not allow medical advice on the community, but I did find this link which might help to shed some light on the details in your image.
I have moved your thread over to our PIP and DLA category and have edited the title so that members have more of an idea as to the subject of your post.0
