I had a pip assesment 2 weeks ago, I received my pip assesment today in the post. I don't think its good news, which I'm very frustrated about. Is there someone who's qualified or experienced on here who could look at it and advise?

In the report will be dots next to descriptors/activities. You can look at those and put the dots into the PIP self test which you can see here https://www.benefitsandwork.co.uk/pip-test-form
At the end of the test it will tell you how many points are recommended.
Remember the report is a recommendation only. Whilst they mostly go with the report, it has been known for them to go against it.
Once the decision is made, if you’re not happy you can challenge that by requesting the MR.

Hi, I need some advice please.

I am at Tribunal stage now - awaiting a date. I’m gathering all of my evidence and everything I have to build my case. Since the initial assessment I have so much more evidence in my favour as I think I didn’t provide enough evidence at the beginning as I am new to this and didn’t really know what I was doing.

However, I still feel that I provided enough to warrant a few more points than were awarded.

There is something in particular I would like some opinions on though. In my first decision letter the decision maker has written something along of the lines of "You say you have difficulty doing so and so but your musculoskeletal examination showed no restriction to manage this activity unaided"

This baffled me from day one and I was trying to think what on earth they were talking about as I had never undergone an examination for this is even be determined.

Since I’m at the Tribunal stage and the DWP have also sent me their response they have also attached copies of my assessment with Capita and it clearly states "musculoskeletal system and/or central nervous system: Not examined. Assessment undertaken by telephone"

I have literally been marked down based on an assessment that never took place and THEIR evidence AGAINST ME has proven this?

There are various other mishaps where they have acknowledged the requirement and use of aids for certain descriptors but not others despite the use for aid being for the same condition.

What can I do?  I am so so angry and hurt. The stress that this has caused me has made me feel at my absolute lowest.

Welcome to the community @dt1992 :)

I hope that poppy123456's comment has put your mind at ease a little. The assessor's report isn't the final decision, so you'll just have to wait for your decision letter to come through. Many people feel a similar way after reading the report.

If you don't get the award you were hoping for, you do have a few chances to challenge the decision.

@dt1992 hi I was just wondering how do you think your assessment actually went? My assessor was lovely on the phone but sometimes I think it's just an act :(
Have you received your actual decision now? X

You do get some lovely assessors. I've had multiple assessments for both PIP and ESA and i've yet to find a bad one. They've always been friendly, polite and very helpful.
