Disability Plus Cerebral Palsy Counselling

In 2016 Deaf4Deaf Counselling & Psychotherapy started to provide culturally sensitive therapy for Deaf people throughout the UK. We obtained NHS funding, and many companies contacted us asking for our services.

In 2020 we started bringing together a new team of counsellors that supported people from a wider demographic of disabilities. We found out very quickly that there were very few options for people who wanted counselling with many people just giving up with NHS counselling as they found the therapists just did not understand the issues.

DisabilityPlus - We spent two years bringing together our new team and launched the service in late August this year. We focused on two main areas where we felt counselling was hard to obtain.

These are:

Motor Functions & Genetic Conditions – Cerebral Palsy, Spina Bifida, Muscular Dystrophy, Brittle Bones, MS & Parkinson’s Disease.

Injury – Spinal Cords & Amputations.

Since launching DisabilityPlus Counselling & Psychotherapy this year we have seen over 200 people in just 2 months.

Most have asked us to apply for NHS funding so they can have free counselling & some wanted to self-pay.

If you would like our support with counsellors who actually know your issues, then contact us or self-refer.

We are here to help

Interesting, but their contact form doesn't seem to work.  Have emailed about any experience they have with AAC users, so we'll see.

@forgoodnesssake here is a link to it. Ask us a Question? - DisabilityPlus seems to work okay for me.
