LCWRA is part of UC and is £354.28/month. I note from another thread that you're also claiming UC. This means your ESA is New style ESA so i have no idea why you were sent that letter because you can't claim Severe disability premium when claiming New style ESA because it can only be paid when claiming Income Related ESA.It's also not paid when claiming UC. https://www.gov.uk/disability-premiumsIt's quite shocking that they sent that letter when you're claiming New style ESA.

I don’t get it lol I thought that as I think I’ve asked before so I will continue to get ESA and the LWCRA and now PIP I use to get income ESA then when I claimed with my partner it all changed but I claim for myself now
Dirs this mean I will not be entitled to the COL payment next month
also I’ve been told I can now claim free road tax how do I do this and I currently pay monthly for my road tax will I get money back as it starts from 29th June
sorry for all the questions
Andy many thanks for your help and support0 -
When were you claiming Income Related ESA with your partner? was your partner claiming either PIP daily living or DLA mid/high rate care for theirself? When did your PIP claim start?Yes, you will be entitled to the £324 COL payment next month, as advised here in your other thread. https://forum.scope.org.uk/discussion/95180/hi-my-name-is-northfleet66-am-i-entitled-to-the-cost-of-living-payment#latestFor the road tax exemption you need to take all of your paper work, including the exemption certificate to your local post office and they will sort that out for you. Full details here. https://www.disabledmotoring.org/motoring/road-tax-exemption

Thank you for your help
i was claiming ESA on my own was getting £262 a fortnight then I moved in with my partner and it changed to £235 a fortnight and then got the LWCRA payment from UC
i now claim on my own as we split up
I was awarded PIP from 29 th June this year0 -
what date did your partner move in with you?The reason they sent the form was because you were previously claiming Income Related ESA but whether you're entitled to the SDP for that time will depend on the date i've asked for above. If your partner moved in before the start of your PIP award then you won't be entitled to SDP.0

I claimed PIP from 29th June this year I moved in with my partner in Feb and we split up in September
hope this helps0 -
Thanks for that. I misread your previous comment and noticed you did say what date your PIP claim started from. I edited my above comment to reflect that. Apologies for the error. This means that you wouldn't have been entitled to SDP at anytime.0

Ok thank you
why they do this is annoying they also sent it to my old address and not my new address which they do have
thank you0 -
They would have sent it because you were claiming Income Related ESA previously. As part of the ESA was contributions based when you claimed UC the ESA would continue to paid but deducted in full from your UC entitlement. The ESA would now be known as New style ESA.
