You can challenge that decision by first requesting the Mandatory Reconsideration (MR) within 1 month of the decision of the decision. You should put your request in writing stating where and why you think you should have scored those points. Timescales for MR decision are between 2-12 weeks, sometimes longer. The most likely outcome of the MR is the decision will remain the same, if this happens you can proceed with Tribunal.3

Thank you I will contact them Monday. On mobility I got standard I got this when went to tribunal.i can't follow route of a journey without being accompanied. I last left my home on my own on 22nd July 2021 this was last day I went to work I left month later. Now they say I can't go on any journey as would cause me distress. I can go on a journey as long as I'm with my husband I told them this and they come up with that I should get 12 points not 10.0

What exactly were you awarded? For following and planning a journey, how often are you able to go out with your husband?A claimant who satisfies 1E cannot also satisfy 1F. If they cannot undertake a single journey on the majority of days due to overwhelming psychological distress, then 1E will be the applicable descriptor, even if there are occasions when they could follow a familiar route, if accompanied.

@Toffee2022 Hello there and a warm welcome to our online community, how are you today?
I'm sorry to hear that you're unhappy with the points you were allocated in your PIP assessment. The mandatory reconsideration is the best route to redress this, by giving 2 to 3 examples from your daily life of times where you have struggled to complete the activities described. These should ideally include details such as who was there, where it happened, what the activity was, what your difficulties were and how your husband had to assist you to complete the task reliably.
Also, I wonder if you think that a social care needs assessment would be beneficial to help with some of the everyday tasks you struggle with. You can apply for this online via this government webpage and some of the services that might be offered as a result of this are:Just for your info: I've tweaked the title of your thread and moved it to our PIP, DLA and AA category to help others see it and reply.- home care help with things like cleaning and shopping
- disability equipment and adaptations to your home
- day centres to give you or the person who cares for you a break
All the best with your mandatory reconsideration and please keep us updated with how you get on.0 -

Hello there @Toffee2022 I'm sorry to read you're not getting the support you need at the moment, things must be difficult right now.
A good place to go for help with Mandatory Reconsideration is Advice Local, you can search under 'welfare benefits' for professional advisers local to you. Turn2Us also explains the process clearly, to help you challenge the decision you've been given on your PIP.
If you'd like to speak to someone over the phone, you'd be welcome to call the Scope Helpline, who can run through things with you.
You've mentioned your doctor won't help with PIP, but do they know how you've been feeling this last week? If you're struggling with things, or your medication isn't agreeing with you, you can talk to them about support and any alternative treatments.
We'd like to help support you as much as we can too, @Tori_Scope sent you an email yesterday, so please do have a read if you've missed it, and let us know if we can help any further

Hi I feel so low I've had enough with pip.i spoke with lady last Thursday she said she was looking at my mandatory reconcideration.i would get decision in 7 to 10 days through post. I found out yesterday letter was sent on 25th November. Was told decision has stayed the same . I sent in loads of evidence and I might as well sent blank bits of paper they have took no notice. I was told can take it to a tribunal and letter will tell me how too.im so angry they are a joke.1

It's not unusual for the MR decision not to change because only 27% of them do. Your next step is to take it to Tribunal, if you still disagree. However, before doing this i'd advise you to get some expert advice from an agency near you just to check it's possible to score more points for a higher award. Start here. https://advicelocal.uk/welfare-benefits

I'm sorry to hear about what's happened @Toffee2022 as you say, your next step is a tribunal, and we can support you in finding some help with that.
Please do take some time to look after your wellbeing, as this news is bound to come as a knockback to say the least. When you feel ready, Turn2Us has a helpful overview of what happens at this stage if you still want to challenge the decision.
It might also be helpful to seek some help from a professional adviser, you can search Advice Local, or look for your local Citizens Advice too.
If you'd like to talk things through on a one to one basis, you can also call or email the Scope Helpline, and speak to one of our advisers.
If there's anything we've missed let us know, and keep us up to date with how it all goes. Please reach out if you need support, we're here for you0
