You haven't given enough of information for anyone to be able to advise. What date did you report your health condition/send in your first fit note?

Will I get backdated money after my first payment of lcwra? I can’t remember when I reported the condition. I put in fit note in 2019 but couldent even get to doctors most times to get the fit notes. my mental health has been bad for as long as I can remember.0

You should get it backdated 5 weeks for lcwra on the 16th December
I hope you’re ok, I know to claim the ICWRA benefit your health isn’t very good. I hope I’ve gotten this wrong.
anyway……look forward to some extra money on the 16th

Lcwra is backdated to 4th assessment period after reporting your medical condition however you must have provided continuous fit notes from the date you reported condition till the date a decision was made on your claim.
If you didn't do this it could affect any backdated payment
In order to advise we need to know what date you reported your condition the dates of your fit notes and dates of your assessment period
It will be up to a decision maker whether backpay is due if you didn't supply fit notes

No one can advise without knowing the date we asked for. You can look back onto your journal to see when it was exactly. However, as janer advised, if the fit notes weren't continuous it can affect when the waiting period starts from.ToodlePip said:You should get it backdated 5 weeks for lcwra on the 16th December
That's not correct, there's a full 3 month assessment period waiting time and the extra money is paid from the 4th month after you reported your health condition, provided with a fit note within 7 days of this.0 -
Hello @conorpurves98 and welcome to our online community, how are you keeping? How is your mental health doing right now?
It's great you found us when wondering about this, and I'd encourage you to look back on your UC journal to provide the information requested by our other members. This will help them to help you
I've moved your thread to our UC category and amended the title to reflect your question. Also, I've sent you a little email if you could give that a look and get back to me when you have time.
All the best and have a great Christmas.0 -
I put fit notes in a few year ago because of my mental health and it’s never got any better sometimes I couldent even get to doctors to get the fit notes0

I put fit note in august just there I checked on my journal0

Then it seems like the first payment on 16th December is correct. No LCWRA element is owed if you sent fit notes from August.Gaps in fit notes can affect when the LCWRA element is paid from.0
