Takes an age getting here and is gone in a flash, how was your Christmas ? Was it better than expected, or pretty much as expected ?
Ours was completely unexpected when our daughter grandson and his dad (complicated family) drove almost 2 hours and knocked on our door totally unexpected, apparently they had been planning it for weeks and our 9 year old grandson managed to keep the secret, they arrived with their own dinners ready for the microwave and had a great day, they stayed over so we have had most of Boxing Day with them as well.
It was the highlight of what has been a tough year and we will be forever grateful that they made the effort to spend Christmas with us.

Awwww that's so lovely @woodbine and I especially loved that they bought their own dinners so you didn't feel pressure or stress about feeding them too!!
