Some local Authorities have a maximum savings limit of £6,000 for council tax reduction but others have a maximum limit of £16,000. All local Authorities have their own rules. If you have over the maximum savings limit you won't be entitled to any council tax reduction.

If you live alone then you'll be entitled to the 25% single person discount, which is competely different to council tax reduction.
I would appreciate it if members wouldn't tag me please. I have all notifcations turned off and wouldn't want a member thinking i'm being rude by not replying.
If i see a question that i know the answer to i will try my best to help.
