Hi I am currently on esa WRAG group but I want too be put into the support group but I'm not sure how I would be able to be put in it. I have recently been diagnosed with ADHD, ASD, OCD and anxiety and depression. I have been receiving this for a while but my ailments aren't getting any better. I'm no good on the phone trying to explain my circumstances as I get muddled up with my words and I will end up getting angry and putting the phone down on them. I'm struggling financially bad at the moment and I don't know what too do. Any help or advice would be much appreciated. Thank you

You will need to ring ESA and report a change of health condition. When you do this you will then be referred for another work capability assessment and you'll be sent an ESA50 form to fill in and return with all your information and supporting evidence. Before you do this you should take a look at the Support Group descriptors to see if any of them apply to you. (at least one needs to apply) https://www.benefitsandwork.co.uk/employment-and-support-allowance/esa-glossary/support-group-descriptorsIf you're not sure then i'd advise you to get some expert advice from an agency near you. https://advicelocal.uk/welfare-benefits
I would appreciate it if members wouldn't tag me please. I have all notifcations turned off and wouldn't want a member thinking i'm being rude by not replying. If i see a question that i know the answer to i will try my best to help. -
Thank you for your feedback. Much appreciated

Hey @Moffdaddy83. You have mentioned recently being diagnosed with ADHD, ASD, OCD, anxiety and depression. How are you feeling about all of this at the moment?
I appreciate it is quite a lot to process and I want to provide you with the space to talk about it if you wish to. I can hear how you don't feel they are getting any better either which sounds really difficult.
Just out of interest, what would 'better' look like for you at the moment and would anything, in particular, help you to manage these at the moment? I just want to make sure we hear you as clearly as we can so we can support you the best we can.
In terms of talking on the phone, would it help you to bullet point what you want to say in advance? As a fellow autistic, this is something that helps me but I recognise different things help different people.
Please don't hesitate to let us know if you would like to navigate this by talking it through with us. Similarly, please don't hesitate to let us know if there's anything that would help.
Take care for now and we will look forward to, hopefully, hearing from you again soonCommunity Volunteer Adviser with professional knowledge of education, special educational needs and disabilities and EHCP's. Pronouns: She/her.

There is no guarantee you will be placed into the Support Group it all depends on there decision at assessment. You will need to contact them and ask for a change of circumstances, you will be received another ESA50 and another assessment. Check the SG descriptors before applying.Life is better in a fishtank 🐟
