I live with my parents and have to pay my parents £500 a month towards food, council tax, water bill and gas and electric 
Is this counted as deprevation of capital

    No. Your benefits are not classed as capital until the end of the period they are paid for. You're just contributing to the household bills, even if it does sound like quite a lot of money. What you spend your benefits on is entirely your decision.
    If you have any savings then anything up to £6,000 is ignored anyway.

    I would appreciate it if members wouldn't tag me please. I have all notifcations turned off and wouldn't want a member thinking i'm being rude by not replying.
