Hi, don’t know if anyone would know but a little info
Started UC claim on the 16th December.
First fit note 20th December - 23rd January.
23 January- 24th February.
28th February - 24th April.
Did WCA 22nd March.
Awarded LCWRA on the 28th March.
Payment is made on the 22nd of each month.
Assessment period each month is 16th - 15th.
Would anyone know or hazard a guess on if the 4 day break between fit notes will affect my assessment period on the 3 full month waiting time.
Also when would be your best guess when I’ll start recieve the extra LCWRA element?
I’m thinking I might have to wait till May or even June to start seeing any extra payment if they say the gap isn’t acceptable.
Thank you.

Usually you need to send fit notes without any gaps. It will be down to a decision maker to decide whether to accept that 4 day gap.Did you report your health condition when you first claimed UC on 16th December? If you did then your waiting period will be Dec to March.. LCWRA starts from March 16th to April 15th and first payment will be 22nd April. If they don't accept the gap (if they don't in my opinion it would be harsh) then your waiting period will be March to June.. LCWRA starts from 16th June to 15th July and first payment will be 22nd July.I would appreciate it if members wouldn't tag me please. I have all notifcations turned off and wouldn't want a member thinking i'm being rude by not replying. If i see a question that i know the answer to i will try my best to help.

Thanks for the reply, yes I reported health condition on the 16th when I first applied.Frustrating thing regarding the gap is I contacted the Drs on the day the last note run out but it took the Dr 4 days to do my fit note and he never did it from when I phoned the Drs.Thanks again Poppy, I see you helping a lot of people on here and it’s very appreciated.
