I know we've done favourite music but what's your favourite feel-good song that you can't help but sing along to?
I have the problem of listening to the same music on repeat and find it hard to listen to anything new but really trying to push myself. So hoping for suggestions to add to my playlist please

I was listening to Busted recently as I remember them from being a child.
Lots of their songs are quite enthusiastic. Year 3000 is a nice one.
Not very politically correct today though ... wow I didn't think I'd be saying that about something from my childhood ... I must be getting old!!! -

How can you not feel good when you harness all the energy of the 'dancer' to your day ...

Hey! Well this has brought back a lot of memories so thank you @Biblioklept
Recently I have been tuning in to to an easy listening radio station and I kept feeling really happy when they played Yazoo "Only You". I had forgotten that I liked Yazoo and Alison Moyet in particular. I had the few albums they made, but long since forgotten. Your post asked "what is your favourite feel good song" so I Googled "Only You" and rediscovered Yahoo. I liked synth-pop, was at the right age and temperament for it, so here is a link and I hope it makes you feel happy:

Then, on the same radio station, they kept playing Paul Young "Wherever I lay my hat." The lyric got to me, because I was like the guy in the song. I met my life partner when I was 17. We travelled around a lot and sometimes I had a need to lay my hat someplace else. But I was forgiven and I grew-up, became mature and the need to mess around with other people left me. What I like about this song is where the lyric says "boy on the road" but then the lyric changes to "man on the road". To me this describes loneliness (you go from being a boy on the road to a man on the road and not being settled with someone you want to share your life with). Thankfully I never became the "man on the road". Here is a link:

My favourite song of all time is Yes "Going for the one". I play this album when I am feeling good, feeling down or feeling in between. Here is the best link I can find, but the studio version is better:

You're all so awesome, thank you for sharing and giving me more to listen to
I don't know if anyone has heard of 'choice paralysis' (I think that's the term) but I suffer wildly from it so can't just go and pick any song so having a list to work through has been amazingggg -

EffinMuppet said:Not necessarily my favourite or most catchy tune, but I love the lyrics of 'Happy' (Pharrell Williams)because it's true, happiness is a state of mind and you can choose to be it despite everything. Not saying I always manage that, but it's possible! And it smiles in the face of people who try to pee on your fire. 'Here come bad news sayin' this 'n' that...I should prob'ly say, don't waste your time 'cos I'M HAPPY!' And yeah, when I'm really happy I DO feel like a room without a roof! Plus I used to work with a lovely girl - one day at work I had a complete meltdown and went off to the toilets for a good cry. I was sitting snivelling on the loo when she played 'Happy' on the works tannoy (strictly not allowed!), it was so sweet of her and made me realise I had support and not to be sad! I wonder if she ever knew what it meant to me and still does all these years later. A little kindness can last forever!
