If I change bank accounts now will I still receive the cost of living payment into my new account

    Hi there @bobby123 and thanks for your question :) 

    You should receive it as far as I'm aware, I believe when you switch bank accounts it is usually a quick process. The £301 payment, if you are eligible, will be paid anytime from 25th April and 17th May, so there's still time.

    If you're using the current account switching service, all payments sent to your old account should be diverted for the first few months.

    You would if you used the current account switching service which is what OverlyAnxious advised. If you didn't use this then no one can tell you for sure whether there would be any issues. The first payment is due between 25th April and 17th May for those claiming DWP means tested benefits.
    I would appreciate it if members wouldn't tag me please. I have all notifcations turned off and wouldn't want a member thinking i'm being rude by not replying.
