After a review of my pip, my points were amended and my amount increased, however in the letter they sent there is a paragraph I am not sure of. It says "they cannot increase the rate until you have met the disability conditions for 3 months?" This is after my amount did go up.. Has anyone got an idea what they mean or has had this before?

It means that you need to have had the worsening of condition for at least 3 months before your award can increase. Once it's reached that timescale your award will increase. If your payments have already increased then it makes no sense to tell you the 3 month waiting period.I would appreciate it if members wouldn't tag me please. I have all notifcations turned off and wouldn't want a member thinking i'm being rude by not replying. If i see a question that i know the answer to i will try my best to help.

Hi poppy and thanks for the reply. Yes they wrote about the 3 month thing on the letter they sent me after a reassessment of my condition and telling me my points had changed as well. So after 3 months does that mean my points will increase again?

With the 3 month rule what usually happens is that you'll score the points but they won't put the award into payment until the 3 month timescale has been reached. What award do you currently have?

I had the standard daily and no mobility then I was reassessed and have the enhanced daily and standard mobility.

What did the decision letter acutally say? You already have the maximum daily living award so this can't increase even if more points were scored.

Apart from explaining why my award had changed (which I knew as I contacted them to advise a change in my condition) and the line I have already said as my original post, nothing.

You already have the highest daily living award. Were you expecting Enhanced mobility? Whether this is possible will depend on how your conditions affect you.I would appreciate it if members wouldn't tag me please. I think everyone hopes for the highest award dont they. I just wanted to know what the 3 month thing was all about as per my original post

In your case I’m afraid I do not know.I would appreciate it if members wouldn't tag me please. I have all notifcations turned off and wouldn't want a member thinking i'm being rude by not replying. If i see a question that i know the answer to i will try my best to help.
