Both the Royal Mail and the CWU said it was a "good" deal.
Royal Mail said the agreement included a 10% salary increase and a one-off lump sum of £500. This includes a previous 2% pay rise from April 2022, a consolidated 6% pay rise from April 2023 and a 2% increase next April.

Postmen worth more % wise than NHS staff ? ... world is bonkers
They may actually close my front gate now and not leave parcels in the rain without knocking -
I love the royal mail but it feels like they strike every year or so, so while I am glad it's over I'm also wondering how long until the next time

Apples and Oranges
Postmen don't have to rack up university debt or have to pay hundreds to the Health & Care Professions Council every 2 years to be registered just to be able to do their job
I'm not saying they don't deserve a raise, but 10% for what is technically low level skill is going to break the Post Office. It's already on it's knees and bleeding money -
Royal mail makes around three quarters of a trillion £ a year so a decent pay rise isn't going to see it off, ask yourself what the bosses are paid?2024 The year of the general election...the time for change is coming 💡
