My husband was awarded standard care and mobility of PIP, backdated to June 2022. Just had a letter from tax credits regarding this. We get extra tax credits for our son's disability (he gets severe disability element).
Will my husband's also be included and backdated ?

Does husband work? If so, you will be entitled to the extra element for the standard rate and backdated too. Give Tax Credits a ring and they will request the backdate and add the extra element on. It will not affect your son’s elements.

That’s great, call Tax Credits on Tuesday (0345 300 3900 8am-6pm) and request they make the changes and backdate too. Be aware though, when you phone they will say you can make changes via the Government Gateway portal. Persist with the call and speak to someone as backdating is a different process.

Again, this would vary more on the disability and how it affects you than working/non-working @Ikonik :)
