I was not going to post here but just to say, I have represented two people both with terminal cancer from their Doctors report which was sent to DWP and were, first had their benefits removed while they checked that they were on the correct rates?
I managed to get both back on benefits, one took 9 weeks and the other 7 months.
The 9 week because as a last resort had his stomack removed and a stima fitted and then after an assessment from Capita, had his benefits assessment that gave him ZERO?  No details, but has had two other operations since and is still here, and back on benefits a further 3 months to wait for a TRIBUNAL.
The other not so luck after 2 years fighting the DWP to get benefits and finally having him rehoused in APRIL 2023 he died in Early June 2023, after DWP admitted sorry for taking so long to answer, as they had 20 weeks but was left in some ones "Tray for action" but never was.
The new white paper produced took care of this but as you may or may not know Actioning things that were supposed to be immediate is still being left open to interpretation by the DWP?
Why is this being allowed?  The Bedical Board who actioned some of the changes last year are not enforcing anything when informed because there is NO FAST TRACK to contact the DWP or PIP's because the person that answers the phone is not being kept up to date with the changes, WHICH ARE NOT UP TO OPINION OR INTERPRETATION BY THEM BUT ALREADY LAW.
The change comes from ACCOUNTABILITY, i.e. you were informed of a change, you didn't implement it, fine, the assessor, suspend and retrain, suspend the departmental manager, suspend and retrain, CHECK THAT THE DEPARTMENT is not all doing the same thing, send in a proper team of assessors hired by the NHS and are not liable to influence by the DWP or any outside body where actions does speak louder than words.  Where is the Health Minister in all this when caught out sack and just keep head down for a bit and then rehire?
