I'm forever focussed on the negatives and when trying to think of a question for the question thread just now I thought of this but wanted to ask everyone...

What do you like about yourself?

It can be anything, big or small, physical, emotional or mental <3

For me though I like how I consider both sides of an argument. I always read the opposite view and I’m not stubborn sometimes reading the opposite view converts me to that view. I sort of do the opposite of “conformation bias” in that I try to disprove my own opinion…if I can it’s good as I have learnt something and if I can’t it validates my opinion. :D

I'm struggling to think of any at the moment!

That's a really good one, and I definitely see it in you even on here <3 Do you have many strongly held beliefs that you think wouldn't change?

@Biblioklept I'd say you are good at seeing the good in everyone and standing up for everyone's rights, especially people/groups who unfairly don't have a lot of support. :) I hope that makes sense.

I'm glad you notice what I said about myself on here and that it's not just in my head :D

I don't think I have any strongly held beliefs that will never change per se but I think I would always stick up for my closest family members even if I thought they were in the wrong, maybe thats something for another thread "things you dislike about yourself". :D

Is this a trick question?  :D

I'd probably say my complete lack of jealousy.  I really don't mind how much other people have or how they've got it.  I just wish I 'also' had things, which seems to be a fairly uncommon outlook from what I've seen online and heard from family members.

@OverlyAnxious that's a nice view to have IMO...so many people see a nice object and wish ill on the owner or even go as far as to vandalise it...also many people try to convince themselves they don't need nice things...so to admit you wish you had them I think is quite a strong trait!!!

I don't get jealous of people with money but I am guilty of being jealous of people who seemed to roll the dice of life better than me and have no health issues, no family issues, a nice relationship etc...

For myself its my belief in social justice and the fact that all my adult life I have been a socialist even when its not been the most popular thing to be.
2024 The year of the general election...the time for change is coming 💡

This is a hard one but I would have to say how mindful I am I often find people are comfortable talking to me and I can see things from their prospective. I've often been told I'm a good listener but to me it's just something I do.
