You can take your DVD player with you to your desert island but only three films, which would you take ?
For me it would have to be:
The first Dad's Army film
The Sound of Music (for sentimental reasons)
And finally Grease.
Your choice?

I do love Grease but I'm way too indecisive for these sorts of questions, I'd end up running out of time and not taking anything There's just too much choice.
From just the films other people have listed so far I'd struggle to decide between
:
Grease
Apocolypse now
Pretty Woman
Green Mile
Schindler's List
and the Truman's show
I'd honestly end up closing my eyes and pointing at any

I don't want it to sound ironic but I really like the film Castaway and maybe would use it for a few survival tips while on the island.
It actually made me tearful when he lost Wilson... -
Zulu (Controversial now ... but really depicts bravery on both sides)
Bronson (... State over Justice ?)
Cool Runnings (Still cry at the end ...) -
Railway Children (my childhood favourite)
Love Actually (a real ‘feel good’ film)
The sound of music (my gran used to take me to see it at the pictures) -
If it's only films, I'd have to go for;
Aliens.
Dune
Jurassic Park.
This is so tough, there's too many amazing films I love.Albus (he/him)

Only 3 films is a bloomin hard choice Woodbine!
The Sound of Music for the great soundtrack, scenery, drama and love story
The Ladykillers (Alec Guinness and Peter Sellers) for dark humour and those old English accents
The Life of Brian for more dark humour and catchy tunes
-
But I’m A Cheerleader! (Campy & wholesome little film, criminally underrated too!)
Who Framed Roger Rabbit (An absolute classic, impossible to feel sad watching this,)
Trainspotting (A tough watch but a must-watch, exceptional film)
-
my 3 films would be
1) mary poppins
2) the flight of the navigator
3) the silence of the lambs -
Bram Stoker”s Dracula- my ultimate Gothic Horror film! Beautifully filmed too.The Long Day Closes- a wonderfully nostalgic and moving film
Trading Places- for a bit of light relief, always makes me laugh!
I’d really miss the’Godfather’ and ‘Omen’ trilogies though!…. -
A tough choice and after lots of thinking, it would have to be:
1. Uncle Buck ( a funny funny film).
2. The Blues Brothers (more fun and great music).
3. It could be either The Life of Brian or Monty Python and the Holy Grail...... I think it would have to be Life of Brian...
