Exciting Event with Cerebra and Pedal Power in Cardiff

You’re invited to an exciting day of fun, community, and celebration at the Relay Your Way launch event being held at Pedal Power in Cardiff on Saturday 8th March.

This free, family-friendly event marks the official public announcement of Relay Your Way. Created by the national children's charity, Cerebra, Relay Your Way is an incredible 2,500km relay from Glasgow to Windsor that will be taking place this summer. This official launch event is designed to be a day to celebrate inclusivity, raise awareness of the importance of giving ALL children access to sport and activities, and enjoy a great day out with family and friends. The official Relay Your Way Baton will also be revealed for the first time on the day.

As a cycling charity that works with children and adults of all abilities, we at Pedal Power are thrilled to be involved. On the day, we’ll be running an inclusive cycle ride around Bute Park as well as cycle taster sessions to give everyone the opportunity to try cycling on one of our many adaptive cycles. Relay Your Way is primarily focused on children, so we'd love to see lots of younger people there. That said, ALL ages (young and not-so-young) are very welcome to join the rides for free or just come along for the day to be part of the occasion. 

As well as being the official launch of Relay Your Way, the event is designed to be fun and to celebrate the power of community. As well as the cycle ride and taster sessions, there will be free refreshments, games, stalls, and entertainment.

Getting involved is simple and free!

• If you have a disability and want to join the inclusive ride on a Pedal Power adaptive cycle, please complete this short form. We'll then be in touch to book a suitable date and time for a free assessment**
• If you do not have a disability and want to join the ride on a standard (non-adaptive) cycle from Pedal Power, or on your own cycle, please complete this form so that we have a view of numbers.
• Or to just come along to the event (and not join the ride), please email Gabe at engage@cardiffpedalpower.org.uk and tell us the number of people that will be in your party.

** An initial assessment BEFORE the event is essential so that so we understand the rider's individual needs and can allocate the right cycle and accessories.

⏰ Time: 10am – 2pm (inclusive ride will start at 11am and taster sessions from 12 noon)
