Community heroes from across Wales have been shortlisted for the BBC Cymru awards on 20 September 2025.

One of the Young Hero Award nominations is Andrei Santau. Diagnosed with CP, Andrei took his first independent steps at the age of 10. A year later he set himself the challenge to climb 102 floors, equivalent to the Empire State Building and raised more than £1,500 for Cerebral Palsy Cymru.
