Hi, my name is munma2three! Where can I get advice on behaviour issues for my two boys?

Hi. I have 1q21.1 microduplication. I know that two or my boys both have it. Waiting on ADHD testing for the 3 of us. And an autism test on the oldest son. I have been having so many behaviour issues with both boys. And tbh I have no idea where to look and I do not understand it all. Any help aor info would be greatly appreciated.

Hi @munma2three and a warm welcome to the community form me!
We have some wonderful parent and carers on the community who also have children with ADHD and autism so hopefully they will be able offer advice and support as well. Please could you tell me a bit more about your sons? It would be helpful to know a little bit more so I don’t advise things that are not relevant or you have already tried or signpost somewhere you already getting support from!
For example, their age, how they communicate (verbal, non-verbal, signs, etc) and any strategies you've already tried to help them that have been helpful (or haven't been quite the right fit) would be great to know.
Also, it would be useful to know about any additional support they're currently receiving, such as CAMHS support or any school support like an EHCP (education health and care plan) as sometimes how children are supported in school (or not) can definitely impact behaviour when they go home!
Look forward to hearing from you soon😀0
