Home schooling

I am just after some advise, we are considering home schooling our boys for secondary school as the local offer is very limited. The LA say if we do they would no longer be supported with SALT and OT. Does anyone know if this is correct? Both have OT and SALT as part of there EHCP.

Hi @gillcdavies and a warm welcome to the community from me!
That is correct as the LA will usually stop arranging and funding SALT and OT even if they are in the EHCP once a child is home schooled as the duty for the LA to secure the provision has ended. You may still be able to access SALT and OT via the NHS or privately if you do choose to home school😊
