Hello. Since declaring to uc that my sons receive DLA uc are wanting me to attend an appointment in person to provide his birth certificate and award letter which I have got and happy to do. I've seen a lot of people just have to upload the pic online is it different for everyone? What should I expect at the appointment? What do they ask? Thank you

    Hi @emilyrose99

Yes, it’s different for everyone which can be a bit confusing! Some people are asked to upload photos online and others are asked to attend in person for verification.

At the appointment they will check your child’s birth certificate and DLA award letter, scan or copy them and then they may ask a couple of basic questions like your child’s name, date of birth and when DLA started. It’s just a routine check and shouldn't take very long at all😊

Hi Mary, thank you for your response. Do you now if a passport is valid for evidence as well?

Not a problem @emilyrose99, yes a passport is valid and there shouldn't be a problem with that at all!
