My child has an ECHP, that states they should have a qualified 1 to 1 SEN teaching assistant. My child had a really good 1 to 1 at the school up until the end of the last academic year. Since starting back in Sept, my child's 1 to 1 has been moved to support other childern in the school (who do not have EHCP's, or diagnoses). The staff who are now supporting my child are a mix of an unqualified TA, and dinner staff doing over time (I've checked the school website for who's who). I've asked the school for a break down of where the funding from my child is going and they have just said "on 1 to 1 support".
Should I now contact the school governors to express my concerns about the schools funding and priorities for SEN childern?
