Is it possible to get a medical report from your GP and use it as further evidence at your tribunal?

I am waiting for a date for my appeal tribunal. Will a GP give you a private medical assessment to use as further evidence to back up your claim? Will this be taken into account or would it be too late to be considered. I understand that I would have to pay for this so would it be worth the investment?

@dafflover Do you know the date your evidence has to be in by? Any more evidence you get will be useful. Surgeries have records on line that can be printed off including any letters from Specialists. If you ask at your surgery they may have already been contacted for evidence without you knowing. Suggest also you repost in "Ask a benefit advisor" for more advice..0

Thank you for that. No I don't know the date for any further evidence. I will ask at my surgery first then and see what they say. I have written to my MP but not even had a reply. Bigger fish to fry at the moment I guess!!0
