Hello everyone, I'm quite new to all things re: benefits and cannot believe the amount of bureaucracy involved! How much stress that departments don't and won't communicate with each other? Awaiting a decision on PIP - 3 weeks after health interview (by non-medical interviewer), 3rd week on food parcels as well.

Hi @embertone14 welcome to the community. Lots of our members have said similar things to you in that the whole process can be so stressful.
Im sorry to hear you are using food parcels to get through this time. There is a list here of benefits or help that you could be entitled to that might help?
Best of luck with the PIP decision, if it isnt the response you want, do take a look at our videos on how to appeal the decision.

@embertone14 Have you rung the DWP to ask for a copy of your assessor's report? If not you need to and that will give you a good idea of what your award will be. You say the assessor was non medical. Did he/she introduce themselves and tell you what their professional status is i.e. nurse, physiotherapist, paramedic. They are supposed to do that. Good Luck moving forward, let us know how you get on..0
