Orthotics help

I have Peripheral Neuropathy, which causes "foot drop"
I have tried "C-Flex", plastic, silicone and carbon fibre ankle foot orthotics, to help me walk.
After a lot of "teething problems", the carbon fibre orthotics finally seem to be helping.
The NHS plastic orthotics gave me ankle sores, and the silicone orthotics weren't very effective, and were difficult to use.
I live near Exeter, in Devon, and managed to find a private orthotist who has a clinic in Street, Somerset. I wondered if anyone knew of any good private orthotists nearer the Exeter area? I have found that once private orthotics have been paid for, the orthotist isn't so interested in whether they are effective or comfortable, and it's quite a long drive to Street (although it could be worse).
Thank you all very much for your help.

Hello @Liz10 and welcome to the community. It is good to have you here.
I don't myself have answers to your specific questions, but I'm sure that others will come along who can offer you useful advice.
For now, I'm here if there's anything you want to ask about the site and community, and I will be having another look at your post shortly to see if you're getting the response you need. Didn't want you to think no-one was listening
Warmest best wishes to you,
Richard

Hi @Liz10, and welcome to the community!
I've had a quick search and Northernhay Clinic seems to be the most popular option in the Exeter area. I'm not sure whether it suits your specific needs, but it might be one to look into. Hope this helps!0 -
Thanks, Pippa
