One of the pip descriptors changing

I was awarded 2 points for face to face communications but should of been awarded 4 points as one of the descriptors has changed the point scoring for certain things backdated to 2016
I rang pip and they said you have to wait until admin review your case and can't be done if your ring in.
Is there any way past this
